Sorry for continually posting these, but they are the easiest bird in Africa and look quite good to, taken in Kwando, Botswana.

Never apologize for great pics. Love the background on this one and the fine look at this beautiful guy (gal).

Nice to have such a fancy looking bird be "easy", Ken. Superb detail in the larger image. It does look just a bit washed out to my eye-you might try giving it a bump with the curves to make it pop a bit more.

The image has a pretty heavy green cast to it. Here's a version with that color cast removed. See what you think.

Sorry? I don't think you should be. This is a really fine image. Colorful, sharp, great pose and comp. is right on. I like Keith's toned down background but your bird and perch (a combination of the two).

Definitely a fantastic portrait of this roller, Ken! I thought the original was a bit yellow/green but once that grows on you it's hard to lose all of that with Keith's correction. I don't question his rework (ever, really) but just as a personal preference might go somewhere in between the two on this one, even if it's less than pure. ;)

Great pose you captured here Ken. The colors don't look right to me in either version for this species, I was wondering when I saw it if the color space was off and you forgot to convert it to srgb. But maybe this is just a duller individual than normal.

Thanks for the interesting comments.
Generally many images of this bird that I have seen have the colours far to "bright".
It is undoubtedly a very colourful bird , but the colour is totally dependent on the brightness of the light.
Perhaps I was trying to hard to not have the "electric" feel.

I'm jealous of your biodiversity. Nice image. Perfect BG. A tiny bit more room on the left might help.

Beautiful bird well captured. Great light, pose perch, and background. I would not change a thing.
