Fly Away

We were checking out a cove on Lake Eufaula, hoping to photograph some ducks.  Suddenly, there before us stood about 12 Sandhill Cranes.  When they flew, they went right over our heads and we were clicking away.
FYI: The earliest Sandhill Crane fossil, estimated to be 2.5 million years old, was unearthed in the Macasphalt Shell Pit in Florida.
Thank you for your comments and suggestions.

Hey Elizabeth,
You sure have a winner here, the large version is impressive. The artistic feel of this image, the wing positions of the subjects and the overall composition makes for very enjoyable viewing. This would make an excellent wall hanger.
Well done . . .  devil
P.S. Taking John's advice is always a good idea IMO.
