Unwaveringness

This is an image from last December, taken on a late afternoon on the coast of Sylt, a German island in the Northern Sea close to the Danish border. The groin appeared to me as a sign of unwaveringness opposed to the persistent motion of the sea.

Comments and critique are wellcome.

Peter, I like this image very much. Your composition works great and certainly well thought out by you. I like the motion and wonderful textures in the water and it gets even better in the large version. The image has a powerful mood and does make a statement about the persistent motion. It also says a lot about the quality and meaning of your work in my opinion. Cheers!

This is a beautiful image, and I love the use of the piers (?) as the one stationary place in the photo. The colors are soft and subtle, but I wonder if you considered brightening it up just a little. I wouldn't bother with this suggestion if I didn't like it so much. Even as it is presented, it is a lovely image.

I like how you captured the motion of the waves and the subtle colors. Very nicely done!

Very artistic image. You captured the motion very well and the colors are soft and subtle. The piers give a point of interest. I think this would work really well cropped to a pano with about the lower third of the image cropped. This is a very fine image.

I get the exact same idea as you with the wooden structure in those roaring waters. Especially the fact the they are seemingly unused and slightly eroded makes their impact on this photo even bigger.
