This is one cold dove.  I took it a few weeks ago, when it was cold.  Now, we have warmed up tremendously.  Yeah!!!

Lucy, that is definitely a cold dove.  The puffed up pose is great.  I also like how many subtly different but similar colors you've got here.  The softness in the bird's feathers has me thinking that with some gentle extra blurring of the tree this would be a good candidate for a photo art treatment.

It certainly does look cold, Lucy.  The softness does give it a kind of painterly look and the colors seem to be in blocks which makes me think that Mark's suggestion of giving it some photo art treatment would be pretty cool.

I agree.  I was so "focused" on getting the dove right, that I didn't realize just how sharp the branches are!  This was taken from a window (I didn't want to be that coldsad), so I tried hard to get the dove's feathers sharp, but not pixilated.  Too bad, I didn't notice the over sharpened branches!  But, with his feathers so fluffed up, I was excited to see all the wonderful colors, that we don't see when flattened out.
