Dark-eyed Junco

I finally decided I should learn to use fill flash, so I spent a bit of time the other morning in my blind shooting Juncos (the only bird that came around at the time).  I like the results, though I need a lot more practice.

Question:  My Metadata panel in LR5 only has "did fire" for flash information.  I know lots of you post the amount of compensation you've used, so I'm guessing it should be available in my EXIF information, but I can't seem to find it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

7D2, Sigma 150-600 contemporary, hand held, f/6.3, 1/400, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering.  I believe I had the flash compensation set at -1 2/3 for this shot.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  I cloned out the extra catchlight from the flash and a small foreground twig that was decidedly annoying and attention getting.  Cropped to 14.9 MP before resizing for web.  Taken February 8th at 9:17 AM.

Comments and criticisms (and answers to my question) are earnestly solicited.

Thanks,

Looks good Dennis, the fill flash looks very natural here, nice setting too. I am not sure about LR but if you open the raw file in DPP you should be able to see the amount of flash compensation devil

Good use of fill flash, can't really tell it was used.  Also like the more uncluttered look, although I think you could crop some on the left side to remove that light area of pine needles.  Thanks for sharing.

NIce bird and setting, Dennis ! The flash is hardly noticable, so I'd say you have done a great jobenlightened. Cheers, Hans

Dennis:  I think this looks great with the use of Fill Flash!!  I'm thrilled to see someone else using this power photo tool to produce excellent results.

I don't think LR shows the flash compensation which is a real pity.  I'm pretty sure it can be found in DPP.  The LR issue has to do with the EXIF "standard" and flash compensation is named something different by nearly every manufacturer.  So much for a standard.  I think there are LR plugins available that can help with this issue.
