Listen to me!

Those lions were actually playing in the early morning sun in a river bed in Sabi Sand South Africa this last October. I would have preferred to use the 5D III instead of the 7D II in such a low light situation and that would have given me a little more room for the tails. I probably didn't have time to switch lenses. I cropped to a 4:2 ratio because the busy vegetation wasn't adding much to the shot.
Canon 7D II, EF 300 F/2.8
1/750s, F/2.8, ISO 1000

Cheers,

Hisham.

Hello Hisham ... Really good to see this playful interaction...Clear and detailed as seen in larger version....but the oof left side area is quite a distraction to me.  Probably  a very close branch etc.

Thanks for sharing

Very interesting image. I like the interaction and the interaction and warm light. The OOF vegetation is a bit distracting but that is a minor issue.

Nice moment and light here, Hisham
I do wish that out-of-focus plant(?) wasn't there on the left but it's not a deal-breaker.

Love the interaction between this adult female and young male.  I really like the bit of rim lighting on the female as well, the oof distraction in the lower left is a bit of a bummer but doubtful you could/can do anything about it.  Sweet shot Hisham!devil

I LOVE the interaction here, great moment, well captured!
I know you have cropped to cut out the vegetation, however I do feel that just a touch more space for the tails left as well as right would benefit the composition.
Grt, Ingrid.
