Texas Western Scrub Jay

David's recent posting of a Western Scrub Jay motivated me to process this image and submit it. This was my first capture of this species on a trip to south Texas. I'm afraid that my offering is not quite as good as David's, but I still thought it worth posting. Processed using Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC 2014 along with Light Crafts Lightzone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Good pose perch and detail. The bird really stands out against the mottled green andblack BG.cool

Nice lighting, exposure, and composition. THe larger version seems a bit oversharpened.

Looks like a really good image of a scrub jay to me, Jerry. Superb detail and the dark bg really shows it off.

Very nice, Jerry. If it were mine, I might back the sharpening down just a little.
