2015 HD Deep Dive 13

More photos from last year, trending towards the osteospermums.

I appreciate all thoughts on these, and would like you to be very honest.  The only thing that I really do with my photos at this point (besides post them here) are to print them as greeting cards.  If people do not like the photos, it helps me to not waste the time and money on printing them.

Thank you!

Nathan

Nathan, I like everything about this image except the pof. I like the comp a lot, and the nice cram and pink/cream colors. I'm just not sure about the pof on the single raised stamen because that stamen is not very prominent because it is right next to the oof raised petal. So, maybe it's actually the oof raised petal next to the pof that is bothering me. wink  I think you get what I am trying to say. Still a very nice image.

I like the position of the flower in the frame and the feeling that it is spinning.  The point of focus doesn't bother me but if you wanted to you could duplicate the upper reaching brown spike on the left and replace the out of focus one on the right resulting in three points in focus leading to the in-focus petals on the right.  One simple clone could make a big difference, or not!

A nice cram. I especially like the gentle colors, and I think this would make an elegant greeting card. I think Patricia made an excellent suggestion on improving the POF.

I also think the result of your printing and selling these as greeting cards can more accurately be found in the demand you receive and encourage, rather than here. Personally, I like almost all of your photos, although I wish you would pick a few more species.cool

Nathan, another photo that you don't need to sign. I love this too. I am wondering how would it look pointing the focus on the beautiful center of the osteospermum. I want to thank you for all the splendid photos that you let me admire of my favorite flower.

I like the POV and POF both, Nathan.  My slight ( very slight !! ) nit would be for a touch more brightness - possibly just in the shadows.  Lovely image, whatever.

Nathan: Scott's thoughts pretty much echo mine. I do think the OOF petal is the culprit. Still a beautiful result.>=))>
