While exploring one of Florida's rivers last spring with Mike Ramy in his boat, we drifted past this Anhinga drying it's feathers.  At the time, I didn't notice the mating damselflies (which are hard to see in the small view) but the combination seems like a good fit for this week's theme.  (5D3, 400mm f5.6, 1/400s, f6.3, iso 400, tripod)

Hey Mark,
Sweet image and the large version is very impressive. The detail and colors are perfect.
Well done . . .  devil

I never thought of anhingas providing a perch while doing wing-drying.  Clever.

What an outstanding, serendipitous capture, Mark. Not just a damselfly, but mating damselflies! I also like the action of the happy Anhinga drying its feathers. Amazing. devil
