We came across a group of 4 lionesses just after they had brought down a Warthog we heard it but could not get to it soon enough, in Khwai Conservancy, Botswana.
Here ome takes the head away for a quiet chew.

Great shot Ken, but I'm thinking one warthog won't go far with 4 lionesses. I'm guessing you are in a vehicle but you seem to have got the shot at eye level.

Ken: nice catch even if you weren't there for the kill. There's lots of great detail in the large version.
Your description reminds me of our first trip to Africa when we pulled up to a recently caught warthog. We stopped about 20 feet from the group of lions and my wife was on the side close to the pride. After a few minutes of snarling and fighting by lions for a share of the warthog and with parts of warthog flying in the air, my wife said there's not enough there for 7 lions and maybe we should leave before they notice us. enlightened Richard
