Mousing Coyote

After many failed attempts, I managed to get a good "mousing" shot of a coyote. Image taken in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone. I almost missed the moment as another coyote showed even closer to where I was and distracted me! Sometimes there is too much wildlife :) The coyote missed the vole on this jump but got it on the next one.

Cheers,

Hisham.

Hisham.
Always good to keep on trying,  a wonderful "action" shot.
I would love to get something siailar with an Ethiopian Wolfm obviously without the snow.

Really nice. The action is completely frozen and the techs look good. A little more room on top, if you have it, would make this an even stronger image.

Great photo!  We hoped for something like this in all the coyote sightings we had this winter during our trip to Yellowstone, but while we spent much time watching them hunt, we never saw a leap for a catch like this.

Outstanding, Hisham! You sure made up for not having nailed a good mousing shot previously...this one is top-shelf. Great detail throughout but it does seem just slightly soft on my monitor (like you could have gone with just a touch stronger sharpening settings). Highly envious but happy for your success on a shot you've been after.

Super.  Love the action and your timing is perfect.  If you have any space above, I feel it would be even stronger.
