Probably one of my favorite locations (and photographs) ever - view from Reinebriggen above Reine, Lofoten Icelands. The view is incredible, the landscape also, and the hike up there, well, is short but still memorable. ;-)

Nikon 18-35 AF-S, two exposures blended in Lightroom to control dynamic range.

This is stunning on so many levels - I love all the little details you can find scanning the scene.  Would love to see this printed as big as possible hanging in a gallery.  The only consideration I have is to perhaps clone out the lens flare

Great idea and execution.  You really nailed this one.

I have not been on this exact top, but I still immediately recognized it, there are few places like this in the world! Gorgeous light, and I really like how the light is hitting the top in the foreground. I do think I would crop out the ~5 little lens flares above the road.

Well composed and executed shot into direct sunlight. The sunburst goes right into the golden lit foreground which adds amazing depth and visual interest. The rest of the scene is also nice, but the sunburst and foreground make the image for me. The lens flares are your choice. I'd keep them personally. Hollywood renders them in with CG, and you can buy plugins for Photoshop to add them.

My only nit is that there seems to be a slight green cast to some of the rays and around the sun while viewing on my color corrected monitor. It is not noticeable on my non-corrected monitor.

Thanks all! I'll have another look at cloning of the lens flare, though my gut feeling is that I'll leave it there. :)

Incredible indeed; what a view! The sun star is the scene stealer and the lighting is gorgeous, Basil. My only suggestion; and this is just a personal preference; would be to clone out the flare. Sweet image.
