Crocus

It's been a strange winter in Oregon. The crocuses have just come up, after the daffodils-very unusual.
It was windy and I placed a light box over the crocus.  Despite the box being quite translucent, I had to work fast as the crocus closed up after a few minutes.

Canon 7dII
100 mm macro
.4 sec at f11
ISO 100

Comments and critiques appreciated.

Love the detail in the centre and petals, Allen, and the top down view is excellent for this variety, giving the centre a very dynamic feel.  I only wonder if the leaves might be darkened a little ( always they raise difficulties I find !! ) but this is in any case a lovely image.

Very nice, Allen. Good use of the lightbx to diffuse the light on the crocus. The details and colors on the flower are excellent. There is a lot going on in the bg which is interesting but sort of distracting from the flower.

Allen: Love this POV and the colors especially. I would crop some from the top to decrease the impact of the leaf in the ULC and would also crop a tiny bit from the left to make the partial leaf on the edge go away completely. Still a beautiful subject nicely captured. >=))>
