Saguaro and Ocotillo

Taken my first evening at the Gilbert Ray Campground in Tucson Mountain Park  (a very nice place to camp).  I'm pretty sure the foreground cactus is a fairly young Saguaro and the bg is an Ocotillo (not sure the latter is classed as a cactus, but it sure has the thorns for it).  I liked the way the sunset lighted up the western side of the plants.

5D3, 28-70 f/2.8 L @ 70 mm, f/11, 1/50, iso 1600, aperture priority, pattern metering, -2/3 EV.  Taken at 5:24 PM on March 13, 2015.

Comments and criticisms are appreciated.

Thanks,

Dennis, the spine detail in the Saguaro is excellent.  This is a good combination, with the Saguaro dominating the view while the Ocotillo and the setting sun make a fine background.

If you moved to the left and still set it against the ocotillo, could you have eliminated the real bright spots from the BG?  They seem a little distracting.  The two types of thorns works well.

Very nice lighting on this collection of cacti. I think Ocotillo is a cactus. I wouldn't want to sit on one.  This is a very sharp image Dennis.

Just as I suspected; everything in the desert has sharp pointy bits. Well seen and captured, Dennis.

Beautifully done, Dennis. This is a marvelous depiction of a cactus.
