Sony A100
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 400, 1/10 @ f22

Have been slogging through my Lightroom catalog and merging images from all over my hard drives and came across some oldies that I've decided to rework. Found this orb weaver one morning before the dew dried up. All comments welcome. >=))>

Outstanding image, Bill. Those OOF dew drops on the web strands is particularly striking IMO. I also like those drops on the spider.

Bill, the big oval of sparkling web and how it frames the spider is great.  The details and dew on the spider as well as her position in the frame are top notch as well.

There's a perspective you don't see very often!  Great idea and execution.

Wow, you got perfect sharpness on the body and the front legs, while at the same time the oof spider web creates a great "frame". That is very well done!

I very much like how you created this 'enclosure' by selective sharpness. Beautiful composition as well, all attention goes to the spider. Would it be possible to lighten up the spider a bit more? What other gems do you have in your catalog?

Fascinating view!  The dew on the orb weaver is nice, but what makes this outstanding is the dew on the web and the way you used it to create such a compelling composition.  Excellent!

This looks like the orb weaver is playing a harp of sorts made of the dewey outside filaments with the dry strings stretched through the center. Love the composition and just the right detail where it is needed. Amazing Bill.
