Tippy the Cat

This is a close-up of Tippy, who chose to leave the life of a barn cat to take advantage of life in our house.  Tippy gets 3 meals a day, sleeps under the covers in our bed (I am usually awakened by a cat paw in the face!), shares a saucer of milk with Tom the cat, and has a cat bed by the wood burner in our basement. Morgan the Newfoundland gives him a bath which leaves him sopping wet with twisted ears. He does OK by cat standards.  K5 IIs 180 mm f3.5 (1/13 sec at f7.1, ISO 1250), Flash at full power with a concave diffuser made of white paper.............................................Jim

Tippy has you trained pretty well, Jim. cool This is a fine shot of a good looking feline. I love the detail, and his eyes really steal the show.

Excellent textures, Jim, in a very appealing full frontal image.  Not sure if the blurring at the edges is a piece of vignetting
but, however you've got it, it works well.  Charming storyline too !

The house gain is a mouse loss.
