I've posted at least one other shot of these two from the same sequence in the Wildlife forum, but it seemed appropriate for this challenge.

7D, 300mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, handheld from truck, f/8, 1/320, iso 400, aperture priority, pattern metering, +1/3 EV.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  A very slight crop from the left and bottom.  Taken at 3:58 PM (EXIF says 2:58, but I know I hadn't changed for Mountain time and I have a feeling I never changed for Daylight Savings, so it may have been 4:58-I seem to recall that all the photogrphers that had been hanging around were gone and I snapped these as we drove past the den which was right beside the road) on June 15th along the access road to the Slough Creek CG in Yellowstone.

Comments are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi Dennis,

A very nice comp that is framed on the right with the prairie plants.  Looks sharp with good details in the darks and lights.  Larger view reveals the detailsdevil.............................Jim

Nice view from the pup Dennis. This is a very pleasant, intimate family portrait, and great details in the larger image.

A fun intimate moment in great detail, especially in the large version!  Great capture, Dennis!  Good thing you hung around a little later.

This is a great look at these two Badgers, Dennis.  The mom-cub interaction shows well and the plants adds some good information about the environment.
