A bit of an icon, at least for Lofoten standards. Thought it was time to post a photo taken during normal daylight hours for a change.

A beautiful setting for sure. Wonderful tonality in the image.

Wow! What a great scene, and you composed it perfectly. I love the houses looking across the water with room to show their view. It's clear to me why this little hamlet grew up in this location.

Sweet light hitting the peaks. No harm in shooting icons. They're icons for a reason ;)

This is really nice, Basil. I love the red of the buildings contrasted with the water, sky, and mountains. This is very peaceful.

Composition, light, dof, colors, well, everything is superb. I think the red boat adds to it. Seems like someone or some entity could use this in a variety of advertising possibilities (postcards, travel catalogs, magazines, etc., although it might require removal of the rear end of the auto in the lower right area).

Classically beautiful. I imagine waking to this view every day if I lived in one of those red houses. Could I ever get tired of it? I think not! Nearly missed the small red boat until I saw it in the large version. WOW!
