Greater Sage-Grouse III
by Jim DeWitt
Canon 1D-X, 500mm f4 x 1.4TC, handheld from truck window
f8, 1/1000, ISO200
A third shot from my visit to the Sage Grouse lek, showing the moment just after full inflation of the esophogeal pouches. I'd like better separation of the bird's bill from the black feathers, but the behavior involves tucking the head town.
75% of full frame. Slight adjustments to Levels; selective sharpening of the bird.
C & C, please. Thanks for looking.
