Barred owl and snake

I had seen an owl in this area a couple of times, but no chance to get a photo, until this morning.  Was able to get a couple of quick photos before the owl moved to another tree.  Taken from my van.

Canon T6i
1/250 @ F-11 ISO 200
Sigma 18-300 OS @ 300mm HH

Interesting shot, John.  Was this cropped a lot?  Looks just a little soft to me (but I think I like my pictures sharper than a lot of people).  Not sure what software you use, but if it's not cropped too much, maybe some sharpening of just the bird might bring out a little feather detail.  I like the good view of the unlucky snake, too.

John,
I like the shot. The colors are natural and the pose is perfect. The owl stare is haunting.
Nice work.
