Happy Havoc

Another portrait of Havoc our bernese mountain dog.  The boss wanted more photos of the crew and Havoc likes to pose. The sun was going down and I used some fill flash at -2ev to add some detail to Havoc's coat.  I reduced the brightness of the lights and darkened the blacks with some luminosity masks. K5 IIs 180 mm f3.5 (1/90 sec at f8.0, ISO 500).....................Jim

Interesting portrait.  Very handsome dog.  Good detail in the darker areas of its coat.  I wonder if this would be more effective it it was cropped tigthter, less chest?  Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful portrait.  Almost human-like in the sense of seemingly being posed, or sitting down for a photo-session...  and the results are wonderful.  A crop top and bottom? yes, perhaps. That might give this even more of a portrait look and feel.  The color and detail are wonderful.

I just gotta ask: You didn't name the dog 'Havoc' just for fun, did you? enlightened

This is nice portrait, and I do agree with Lon's crop suggestion. The detail and color are very nice.
