A Lioness from the "Masek Pride" in Ndutu using a tree to scan the surrounding bush. Short after this image was captured she came down and made an unsuccessful attempt on a passing male impala. <div id="myEventWatcherDiv" style="display:none;"> </div>

Simply gorgeous image. Wishing for a little more room up top, but great nonetheless.

Great light and setting. I find it just a tad tight Mario - you did not post techs so not sure what focal length/lens this was?

Hi Mario,

Really solid and pleasing. I suppose it feels a bit tight to me as well, but in this case I think the diagonal flow of the "perch" helps to somehow offset that "tightness" a little. It could well be just the angle and because of how it's laying on the log, but this one's belly doesn't look too empty...so missing the impala probably not too concerning for her! enlightened

thanks for sharing this one...cheers...
