The perch is not what I would have liked, but this is the only decent image of this species that I have. I love the eyes. Processed using Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC 2014 along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

It's always a challenge to show a good bird well in less than ideal conditions, and you managed to do that here. I like the pose, detail, and that well defined eye.  devil

The only thing I want different in this wonderful shot is more natural surroundings of trees or limbs.  Very nicely done!

A beautiful image of this hawk, Jerry, despite the perch.  That eye is really nice.

Very nice looking bird Jerry, I assume this is a Coopers and not a Sharp-shinned, but I can never tell those two apart. Of course wish he would have landed on a natural perch for you, but maybe you will get more cooperation out of him next time? sad
