Ok, enough rock... we need some trees! angel enlightened And of course I have no shortage of them.  Here is another from my early February visit to Yosemite Valley.  As with some earlier posted images, it's snowing in this image. More noticeable in the larger view.

I've photographed this particular tree many times over the years and in all seasons.  I welcome your comments, critiques and suggestions.

Thanks!

Graceful elegance, Lon, without a doubt.  Love the dark, curved limbs of the tree arcing up from the lower right corner, with the touch of snow on the branches enhancing the graphic beauty of the image.  Also really like the subtle texture of the falling snow, seen best in the larger image.  Never tire of these stunning images from your numerous excursions to Yosemite in all seasons, and this one is a signature image in my opinion.  Exquisite.

Very nice, Lon.  I can see why this is one of your favorites.  The snow highlights the tracery and just enough color to round out the image.  Beautiful.

Outstanding, Lon. Love the form and the overall mood. To me, the image is a pinch bit dark, but this helps the moody feel. devil

You really need to see the large version to appreciate all the subtle beauty and details of this image Lon.  I especially love the remnants of autumn leaves and the sweeping graceful limbs of tree embracing the snowy background.

This is wonderful, Lon. As many times as we have looked at this gorgeous oak, it never fails to delight. The graceful arc of the branches, the snow, along with the nice detail and the subtle reds of the remaining leaves are nicely tied together. Great work, sir!

The snow laden branches are a real delight especially with that vague sense of mist and falling snow in the background.

This is superb, Lon. I've seen quite a few of your Yosemite oak images but this has to be my favorite.  I love the monochromatic look under the soft light. Reminds me of a Chinese painting. The hint of color from the rust colored leaves add a wonderful contrast. Comp. is excellent with the graceful curves of the branches prominent. Gorgeous as presented and cant come up with any suggestions.
