I took some risks taking this beautiful picture of the open mouth alligator.
I walked as close as possible to get this nice portrait shot. he was not the largest but a nice gator of almost 6 feet long.
learnt after taking the shot that the reason they open their mouth can be when they feel threaten and more especially when someone was too close !!

Nice capture with the open mouth!
The greens seem very bright, so perhaps toning them down would highlight the 'gator even more.

I think this is meant for the "swamp" WC? If so, it's a bit early cool - the "week" runs from Saturday midnight EST  to Saturday midnight. for this wee's challenge , that means Sunday 5/01/16 a second after midnight through Saturday 5/7 until midnight.

A little confusing for sure.

Hi Lauric.  This is a fine look down this gator's throat.  The pink of the mouth stands out well and the gator is nicely separated from the background.  You also have good sharpness on the gator.  Sandy's right about the timing, but as a first time poster to this Gallery, I'll include this image when I consider the weekly picks.  To me, both the greens and the yellows look overly saturated.  You also need to jump in and comment on images posted by other members.

Interesting ope mouthed shot Lauric. Great colors and great details all around. Looks pretty threatening for a 6 footer.
