Goslings Feeding

Yesterday was the first time in a while that I could make it out. The weather  was  cool and damp with intermittent sun. I spotted these little guys along with their four siblings and parents along a canal that cuts through the south side of town.

Canon T5i
ISO 800
Aperture Priority  F8
SS 1/1000
Sigma 150-600 C at 600mm

Thanks for looking and please feel free to comment. I have a lot to learn.

Hi Brian, welcome!

My first thought when I opened this image was it had too much empty space on top. A more horizontal crop eliminating most of the space above would correct that issue. There also seems to be a lot of noise in the background. The techs look ok so I'm not sure where the noise came from unless you had to increase exposure significantly in post processing. Nice low pov and the goslings are definitely cute. Uploading a larger image makes the critiquing process easier.

Thanks Steve,
I tried your suggestion and you are correct. I removed the a lot of the space above the goslings and it was a big improvement.
I am not sure what the background noise is. There was some moving water behind the subjects but I am not sure that is the cause.
Thank you very much for the feedback. This is why I wanted to post. I have a lot to learn.
