Two Lady Slippers (Paphiopedilum Orchids that here we call Venus slippers) surprised while embracing each other.

At sunset in the greenhouse near home, back light.

D800E, Nikkor 200mm macro - f/19 and ISO 250.

The little devils!! Gigi, an excellent example of this genus of the Lady Slipper. I like the delicate patterning and veins, the cilia on the petals and stems. A tiny nit is the minor haloing on the toe of the slippers, probably a sharpening artifact. cool

Really intriguing patterns and textures and color with this pair of slippers Guiseppe. I wonder how it would look if the slippers were slightly off set in the frame a bit more to the right and straightened up a bit.

Lovely, The bg is just perfect for this beautiful pair. Just a small "nit", I agree with Phil about the halo on the lower part of the "slipper"

Hi Gigi,

Straightening up the stems and clearing up the halos will help this image. Overall the comp is good and the subtle coloration seems to work well with the BG.......................Jim

Perfectly composed, with excellent color and detail.... making the image look almost real. it looks like two crying babies in the slippers
