Honey B in Pink

This was in pretty deep shade when I took it. I tried to lift the shadows and it seemed to bring out a glow in the anthers and stamens of the cactus flower. The pink colors of these flowers was amazing. My favorite desert gardens. Maybe this should be in Flora? Not sure. Thanks for looking and giving me your thoughts.

Impressive bloom, very beautiful cactus flower. You captured the bee in flight at 1/80sec! My suggestion would be to crop out the two OOF buds of the right side.

Ed, you are getting some wonderful cactus flower shots.  I'm loving all of the subtle red/pink/magenta colors in this flower and how tack sharp the main subject and bee are.  I could see cropping this to 4:5 to remove the two buds on the right, or burning them in to reduce how much attention they get.  Some burning in might be good on the petals sticking in at the top as well.

I agree with Yun's and Mark's comments. If this were in Flora, I would not move it out of Flora. As the bee is the subject, since it is in Macro, I say leave it here. Either way it is good photography, and I have enjoyed looking at it.devil

Per suggestions made in this post I tried to modify the original a bit to reduce the distractions. Hope this worked. I don't really like to clone out too many things, but I do like the cleanup on this. Thank you everyone for your suggestions.
