Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 400, 1/6 sec @ f22

Haven't posted in awhile but its certainly not been for lack of subjects. Our garden this spring has been burgeoning and I've done a lot of shooting but have had almost no time for editing and posting. But coneflowers are one of my favorites and when I saw this juxtaposition of bud and flower I felt like I had to share. All comments welcome. >=))>

Nice. Good detail on the present bud, with an echo in the mature flower behind it. Aspirations indeed.

Beautifully captured, Bill. Excellent dof management and I really like the many different green color hues.

I really like the prospective and color pallet here. I also like how the different parts of the flower appose each other. Fine image.

Beautiful, Bill!  The DOF is perfect and the color pallet is lovely.

An excellent capture of the bud, Bill, with the whole image lit up by the soft green tones.  I wonder if it were possible to reveal the distant flower a touch more or maybe to lighten its centre, just to get a stronger relationship between the two ?

The high key green looks great here, Bill.  You've got excellent detail in the young flower and it's stem and they separate so gently from the background.  It's a beauty.
