This adult Ibis had just plucked the crayfish from a nearby canal. Nearly full frame.

Thanks for looking, comments & suggestions are always appreciated!

Excellent detail and control of the whites. The red areas on the bird seem over saturated to me.

Nice comp and detail of the bird and meal, and exposure of the whites looks good.  Tend to agree with Phil on saturation.  Just wish the feet would have been more visible.

I agree with Mike on this one. The large version looks amazing. I don't think it is oversaturated a large version.

Great to get this guy with prey Steve, I wish he wasn't moving slightly away from you but nothing you could have done about that.  As presented I don't have any suggestions for improving this, nicely done on the exposure and comp. devil

I love the pose and the neat diagonal it creates.  It makes for a striking composition.  The crayfish is a nice addition. My only nit is that I think you could go a touch brighter on the whites, though I don't have the histogram in front of me.

Wonderful to see this bird with such bright colors and with some "real" prey.  Too often in Florida you see them bobbing their head in the dirt plucking bugs and that's it.  I'm seeing something a bit off in the DOF - particularly the lower left-hand corner.  There's quite a bit of blur, then one in focus fringe, then a blurred area - with some non-blurred spots near your watermark. Did you do some blurring in post-processing or perhaps some cloning?

As for other's remarking it being oversaturated - note that this is the breeding plumage of the white ibis - the non-breeding plumage is a subdued pink

Luke - You are right about the image. There was some trash in that corner that I cloned out as well as a ridge in the ground there. I liked the shot well enough so I tried to fix it. Should've done better, I'll revisit that image. Thanks!
