BW Repost of Algodones Dunescape #5

Here is another dunescape from the Algodones dunes near Salton Sea and Slab City. There are two people barely visible (and not entirely in focus) on a distant dune, and a road bed/traffic sign I could work harder to clone out.  I am on the fence about this one.  I am not sure the fore-dune and background dunes can be so imbalanced and still be interesting.  It's what drew me initially because of that tension, but I'm not sure it holds one's interest.

As usual, I'm eager for any and all suggestions as well as the "meh" reaction, if applicable.

I've enjoyed all your dunescapes, but this one is the most interesting to me. The juxtaposition of the widely-varied textures draws me in and definitely holds my interest. As with the others, I'd like to see what you could do with B&W here.
A wonderful series of images!

Thanks, Sandy.  I really appreciate the encouragement.  Here is my first attempt at a BW version of this composition.  I'm happy to keep pecking away at the details on this one if you think I went to far with the sky or if you detect noise or other issues.

B&W is the winner for me.

Me too, Harley. Thanks for the suggestion Sandy.  I love that sky and clouds (if I do say so myself).
