Texas Nighthawk 6

Couldn't resist posting another Nighthawk I captured this afternoon in teherain. You can see the drops bouncing off this guy. The shutter speed was slow due to the reduced light during the rainstorm. Processed using Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC 2014 along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Jerry, the pattern from the raindrops bouncing off of him is what makes this unique IMO. I like it and nice job getting this at that low of a SS.

Impressive to be able to get this in the rain and I really like the raindrops splashing off the bird. Did you use a flash?

Nice image Jerry.  I do like the raindrops bouncing off the bird as well as it's half-open eye.  I'm not sure if the nighthawk is trying to shield it's eye from the rain or just relaxed and starting to nod off.  You are lucky to be catching these birds on a perch.  I have seen hundreds of them flying around, but never perched.

Another nice image of this Nighthawk, Jerry. The rain splashing off of him really makes it special.

Excellent work, Jerry.  The bouncing drop fragments look really cool.  Interesting that it seems to be the only drop in the immediate vicinity of the bird when you tripped the shutter.

I am very late to this one Jerry, but I had to let you know that I love this one.  The pose is really nice and that water splattering off his face is really cool, nice job. devil
