Black Rhino Calf

As it is apparently not the done thing to disclose the whereabouts of Rhino, I will not do so.
Not that it is a secret as it is heavily advertised on the web!
This youngster was with mum who unfortunately obscured by bushes.
It was described as a dessert Black Rhino, but there is no such thing,

Cool pose here Ken. The bushes in front distract for me, and it's very tight on the left, presume you cropped for mom.
A better "ear position" would also have helped.
And yes - although there are "desert-adapted" black rhinos, I doubt the ones put in the reserve I presume you saw these in are "desert-adapted".

Interesting and very different (for me at least) pose for a rhino calf.  I agree with Morkel regarding the nits he mentioned, but interesting shot nonetheless.

Nice  image. The nits mentioned are unfortunate, but you still got a good image. Consider a head portrait only, as well.

Thanks everybody, I must confess that the surrounding/overlapping foliage is not useful, but the open spaces are very hard to find there, just like the Rhino (everywhere?)

The pose makes it a keeper.  Nits already discussed.

Nice light and detail on the head.  I like Sandy's suggestion.
