Five Cats in a Tree

Five Lion cubs from the Masek Pride posing perfectly for a family portrait. This was one of the highlights of the February 2016 photo safari to Ndutu. We spent the entire game drive with this pride that gave us endless opportunities.

This is wonderful Mario. How did you get them to pose so nicely, all looking directly at the camera, and none of them making funny faces!!?? When I first looked at it, the image did remind me of some sort of family reunion picture. To me, this is a really exceptional image.

INCREDIBLE that you got all 5 of the cubs in great poses, eyes visible and bright, and nicely grouped. ! A photographer's dream and an image with great emotional appeal - as well as commercial value.

Congrats on a simply amazing image!

Mario,
What I would describe as a once in a lifetime (although hopefully not) shot.

It's PURRRRRRRFECT !!! Getting all five of them in perfect pose is no small task.
An adorable frame from left to right.
Not a nit pick, matter of choice, since all the cubs are on same focal plane, I would have preferred lesser DOF.

For some reason this didn't load for me on FB. Glad you posted it here. A great collection of cats. So nice that you got them all looking the same way for a moment. I like how their yellowish fur bisects the blue and green too.

Top shelf capture, Mario. Congratulations on getting five different and pleasing poses from five subjects...with all five offering great eye contract. You maximized the light angles, too. devil

Jeez, how'd you manage that? And in great light too. I can't get two grizzly cubs to do the same thing. This is really extraordinary.

This is an amazing image...can't believe you got them all looking right at you, and the light is so nice. Really memorable.
