Eastern Sierra lupine bloom. I was fortunate enough to get a lull in the constant wind to capture this image during a stormy evening. Two image exposure blend and 2 stop GND to manage dynamic range with my lowly 5D2.

Beautiful lupine scene, with a dramatic sky on top of it. Real sweet.

Colorful, dramatic, and really well done, Dave. (Even with that 5d2, also my tool). As they say, it ain't the equipment, it's the vision. Nice job handling the DR. Sweet image.

Killer storm clouds.. The flowers are sharp enough considering the conditions.
Nice work.

What an amazing scene! I can imagine the feeling of being there. So dramatic. I might be inclined to increase structure in the clouds a tish and maybe dodge the mountains here and there, but I'm just getting greedy for more drama I fear.

Beautiful scene here, Dave. I love the purple hue to everything and that bright area in the clouds adds a lot of interest. Where exactly did you find all these lupine, and when? Would love to see this. Your lowly camera and you did a fantastic job here.

A lot to like here. Many elements fell into place for you. Excellent job of coralling them into one frame.

I like the sky with the gold section against the blues and purples. Maybe play with some increased contrast in just the foreground of lupines?
