Lovely Nate. Nice full wing spread and beautifully vivid colors. Was this at Puembo?

Beautiful little jewel. The dead leaf is a slight distraction, but certainly not a deal breaker. Well done.

Beautiful, Nate.  I love the wing position of the hummingbird and the full-body gorget on this species is incredible.  I also like that little clump of dead leaves above the flower that adds some nice balance to the image.

Hi Nate,

Good image and I like the diagonal presentation of bird, flower, and dead leaves.  You could remove or lighten the diagonal dark stem in the lower RH corner as my only suggestion. .....................Jim

Another beauty Nate, I wonder if cropping down from the top a bit could help the composition. It would eliminate the dead leaf and the oof leaf and make it more a horizontal crop again. Unless you don't have the pixels to do that. The detail and color in the hummer is fantastic.
