One Last Nighthawk

One last image of this interesting bird. I like this one because he is parallel to the focal plane and all the feathers are in focus. I also like the good look at the unusual, perfectly round nostrils. Processed using Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC 2014 along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

An excellent image to finish the series, Jerry.  Those nostrils are interesting.  I wouldn't have expected them to be that shape-they almost look like air scoops.  This one also picked a very artistic looking fence post for you.

Excellent shot for alll the reasons you point out.  Also it's a nice blending of pastels between the bird and the BG,

Lovely background  and perch to highlight this nightjar, and solid techs throughout. Nice work Jerry

Nice work on these Jerry. This is probably my favorite now. Great bg and weathered perch.

All the images in this series were very nice, but this looks especially nice.  I love this nice side shot on a great weathered post against a perfect background.  As a kid, nighthawks were one of my favorite birds.  They would appear over town just before dusk and the males would dive and product that characteristic whirring sound; I watched them for hours.  Thanks for this nice collection Jerry.
