I know some people aren't fond of portraits, but when she let me get this close I couldn't resist. I like the detail I was able to capture. This is approximately 90% of FF, selective sharpening to the Anhinga.

Thanks for looking, comments & suggestions are always appreciated!

I'm fond of portraits, especially when they are this good. Great background, and she is about as sharp as it gets. I'm not sure, but it looks like you may be reflected in her pupil. Where did you find her?

I am also a fan of portraits, and this is a nice one!  The picture is sharp, perfectly composed, and has a very good background.  Well done Steve.

Great detail and color. The bird pops nicely from the background.

I agree with Jim on this one. This is an exceptionally good portrait because of the sharpness and background. It shows very well in the large image.  Impressive for iso-800.

Jim - I found her on the north shore of Lake Apopka in Apopka, Florida, she was very cooperative. Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

Fantastic portrait of the anhinga, Steve. It is very sharp and the wonderful background makes it pop. Composition is also excellent. devil

Neat portrait Steve, I like the curve of the neck and the detail in that pouch is great. devil

I like portraits especially when they show as much detail as this one.  Well done.
