Rocky Mountain Bee Plant

This is just an experiment with back-lighting a dew covered flower head of Cleome serrulata,, the Rocky Mountain bee plant.  I tamed down the bright highlights a bit.  I may have to go out tomorrow with the tripod and run some images with more DOF.  Let me what you think about this image.  K5 IIs 180 mm f3.5 (1/320 sec at f9.0, ISO 640)............................Jim

Jim: I really like what you've done with the lighting and I also like your DOF choice. Very nice work.>=))>

This is very cool, Jim!  I like the dew drops that are in focus and also the ones that are OOF.  However, I'd like to see how images with more DOF turn out if you decide to do that.  Having more of those sparkling dew drops in focus might turn out to be even better.

Dazzling, Jim. laugh The dew drops in the larger image are excellent. I guess more dof would work, but I like this presentation as is.

Do I hear Glenn Miller in the background? Talk about your "String of Pearls"! Quite a display of water pearls, which mask a lot of detail—but who cares? Lovely!laugh

This is really nice Jim. Love the backlit soft purple and really love the dewdrops.
