Male Red-Winged Blackbird in calling pose perched on a stick. I like that it's a nice simple image, taken in early morning light. Approx 80% of FF.

Thanks for looking, comments & suggestions are always appreciated!

Nice clean image Steve. I like the open beak and not real easy to properly expose this dark bird against a light BG, so good job on your techs. With that said, I think you might be able to coax a little more detail out of the darker areas if you desire, but I think this works well as posted.

Very nice clean and simple image Steve. He really seems to be happy and singing his heart out for the girls...

A nice image of the blackbird, Steve. You caught a classic pose with an excellent background. They are tough to expose well and I think you did a very good job. My only nit is in the breast/underside of the blackbird - perhaps some selective brightening will help.

Excellent pose and detail, Steve.  A typical perch and sweet bg.  Well done.

Nicely composed action image of RWBB.  Good detail on upper half of bird  but exposure is fine.  As Kurt says, you might be able to coax more ou of the bottom but I'm ok with this.  Pleasing BG.

Sweet calling pose you captured here Steve, a little bit more depth of field for the tail would be nice here as it has a prominent spread out pose. devil

Elegant, calssic shot of the male, Steve. I agree with Nate on the DOF.
