Three Trees

I didn't worry too much about composition here - not really possible.  What I liked was the variation in the three trees which dominate the garden scene - a Chinese dogwood in full flower, a dying cherry with its branches twisting and turning and a weeping ash spreading its leafy branches almost down to the ground.

One often sees people of different life histories, demeanors, lucks? sitting next to one another in public places and wonders - what set of events brought them here and now? You image of the three trees brings the same emotion to me. I really like it, composition or not!

There is a pleasant sense from right to left about tones of light, saturation and vividness of colors.  The title is a tongue -twister, at least for me! I love the photo Ian.

This is a beautiful scene, Ian!  I'd like to be walking along the path in this garden!

I like this for the variation in the three trees and the overall health of the vegetation (cherry tree aside). It is a very Spring like—ahem—composition.sad It is a composition in the sense of how the eyes are directed across from right to left in a natural gradient.

Ian: The larger version MUST be viewed to really appreciate this.I think you've composed this well. Nicely seen. >=))>

This would make a nice background image for your computer monitor Ian. I was thinking it would be cool to have that nice little roadway be a bigger part of the composition, but I understand that was not your goal for this. Beautiful colors and peaceful setting.

The larger view really lets the details of the three trees show off, Ian.  An outstanding collection of details creating a very quietly inviting image.  That's an amazing dogwood with it's size and heavy coverage of blooms.
