Black Dragon Hibiscus

Taking a short break from day lilies to get into some hibiscus shots. The first of our Black Dragons to bloom this year. These are big blooms, sometimes reaching 8-10 inches in diameter. I love the deep wine color and the swirling center. All comments welcome.>=))>

Impressive subject from your garden, Bill. I like the comp and detail in the stamen, pistol, anthers, etc.

The pop of the flower's center stalk is quite striking, Bill, as are the amazing colors.  From this image, it's easy to see why you like these, and yes the swirl in the center is a great addition.

Hi Bill, great colours and wonderful OOF structure in the petals. I would be tempted to darken the green from behind the flower head but a very minor point.

Gaudy. The pistil and stamens are certainly commanding. The swirl of the petals finishes this off nicely.devil
