Crystal Pool

Here's some nice light I managed to capture in Iceland earlier this year. Snow melt and sunlight produced these small reflecting pools. This pool was no bigger than two feet wide, but the power of the wide angle lens helped make it bigger than it was.

The side light added some really nice dimension to the mountains. Hopefully this is a unique take on a country from where way too many similar images are produced :)

Appreciate your thoughts on this one.

Very nice Sairam.  Love the shape mimicry of the gap in the ice and the way it matches the inverted reflection of the mountain.

Eye-catching image of Iceland, Sairam. Nice find and good use of the small reflecting pool to capture the nice reflection. I like the foreground of this shot a lot. The light is very nice but, if possible, I could see reducing it just a bit for everything above the horizon.

The wonders of a wide angle!  The pool  was perfectly positioned for this.  The yellows on the peak look a little oversaturated to me.  What looks especially attractive is the subtle detail in the FG snow.  ANy chance of pulling back details in the distant snow slopes on the right?  So this was May, rightsad  Could this be near Skogar?  I like the simplicity and the power of the golden and blue tones.  Nicely done.

The perfect reflection and mimicry between the open water and the peak look great, Sairam.  I agree with others that parts of the sky (especially on the left) and the peak on the right could stand to be toned down a bit.

I like the overall composition and the way you lined up the reflection with the mountain.  I agree with other that the peaks are a little bright.  Maybe a split ND would of helped in this situation to tone things down a bit?  Nice job in getting this shot.

Wow, this is beautiful. Love the reflection, shapes and textures in the foreground snow. As others have mentioned the bottom half processing looks perfect but the highlights look a bit blown in the background center and right. If you can dial those back you have a real winner.

Cool image, Sariam.(literally)  I love the foreground and placement of the reflection.  The snow and and color combo work very well.  I agree the highlights are a little hot in the upper part of the image.  Tone those down and this is way, way cool.
