A couple of Civil War re-enactors at Ft. Sisseton, SD.   I used  my Chamonix 4x5 (a very modern field camera) and Efke 25 film.  Lens was a CC Harrison (Petzval) 5 in. f3.5, made in New York in 1851.  A 1/2s exposure with 6 stops of ND.  I'm considering learning how to do wet plate colloidian, although I don't know how practical that would be for a guy where temps are below freezing about half of the year.  I guess F. J. Haynes did it up in Fargo for years and years.

The Petzval give the image nice look. Well done.

4x5 is plenty involved enough for my tastes. I can't imagine dealing with wet plate. It takes a certain type of person.
