Here is the same Pied Kingfisher, with the same fish-in a more classic kingfisher pose.

And a very nice classic pose, Chuck.  Excellent detail.  The cloudy skies made for a nice exposure, though you might select just the bird and add a little punch to it using whatever your favorite method might be.

Exceptional image of the kingfisher with prey, Chuck. You got an awesome pose with a great background. The lighting is ideal and exposure looks perfect. I think you can try a B&W version of this too without losing any impact.devil

Another really nice image Chuck. The techs are spot on and the exposure is right for what looks like overcast skies you had to work with. However, I am curious what this might look like with the exposure brought up a touch, then adding some contrast and a bit of saturation to give this more pop? I might still like this one better, but if you have time, I would like to see a comparison if you haven't already tried this on your own.

Great pose! The detail is great (especially seen in larger version). I agree with the others that bringing the exposure up a tad might help the image.

Of the two Pied Kingfisher images, I like this one the best. It shows the detail and the fish better in my opinion.  The background work so well in this image. It just blends and mimics the color of the bird.

The techs look good to me on this one, Chuck.  I prefer this more classic pose to the other one, too.  devil

Kingfishers with fish are always great shots - nice look at the tail and head of the fish

Another great kingfisher image Charles.  Once again I like the muted color palette.

Great capture, Chuck. Nice pose and the fish is a bonus. My only small nit would be that it may benefit from a slight increase in contrast to bring out the blacks a tad bit. A small nit on a great image.
