A very cooperative male violet dancer perched on a dead grass stem along the shore of a farm pond. The reflected evening sky is the BG. (K5 IIs 180 mm f3.5 (1/60 sec at f16, ISO 800). Shadows & Highlights, Brightness & Contrast, plus rubber stamp tool to remove lots of dust (time for a sensor cleaning!).  Slight crop for comp.......................Jim

Great color in the df, Jim.  The perch and the pose look great as does the background.  The highlights in the wings are a fine addition.

Great sharpness and detail.  I like the pose and the perch.  The blue sky is a great bg.  Very nicely done, Jim!

Fine image, Jim. The pond made a beautiful bg for the colors in the dancer, and the detail is outstanding. Particularly cool, however, are the highlights in the wings and eye. devil

Beautiful damselfly Jim. The catchlight in the eye and the little highlights along the body are great. The soft purples and blues are really nice. Great work on this.
