Egretta rufescens

Another one from my trip to Florida. This was at Fort Desoto Park on the North Beach. Not a very interesting background, but I like the wingspread and nice light.

1D Mk IV, 500mm f4L IS + 1.4 TC
1/3200, f8
ISO 400

All comments and critique very appreciated.
Thank You.

Excellent flight image, Matt.Perfec wing position,, fine feather detail l and clean  BG.
The black area between the wings is a bit distracting; I'd consider cloning it out.
Very fine work!

Sweet light and sweet flight shot. All I've ever gotten are butt shots. I'm not a big fan of cloning, but I agree with Sandy on the shadow.

Beautiful light and I also like the wing position.  Pops nicely off the background.  Well done.

You did wind up getting some very nice light on this despite the background. Terrific detail and color rendition.

Nice light indeed, and a very attractive species ! Great one ! Sandy's advise makes sense, if you consider cloning an option that is. Cheers, Hans

Sweet, Matt.  Great pose.  I didn't see any of these, but maybe they didn't like the area I was in.  I have seen them elsewhere, but never came away with anything this nice.  Perfect flight pose to show off the bird.

Sweet flight image in great light, Matt. The image is very sharp and you captured a great wing position. While the backdrop may not be interesting, it provides a very nice setting for the egret.

Nice wing position on this flight image Matt. I'm not bothered by the small shadow between the wings. Nice work!
