Or Common Yellowthroat #2, whichever you prefer. This one is obviously a juvie with those little tufts of down popping out.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600mm, f/7.1, 1/250, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped to a 4x5 aspect ratio of 13.1 MP before resizing. The shaded area ended just above the bird's head in this one with a band of bright green, so I replaced it with a more consistent bg. Taken at 7:19 PM on July 24th.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Nice detail and slick photoshop work on the background. Not sure I would have guessed the ID.

Perfect title, Dennis. This little juvie is definitely scruffy. Great job getting such good detail in the shade. Cannot tell you did a thing to the background, great job.

A nice piece of work here Dennis. Techs look good and a fine job on that bg. The feather detail is very sharp and the nice low pov is great.
