You've really capyured the power of the incoming wave with your choice of shutter speed. Nice B&W conversion.

Great capture rewarding your patience! Glad to see someone else also using the 5D Sr (senior's camera?) For me the big difference is in the smoothness of the skies, which would tend to "glop" with any significant blue reduction in the conversion. Interesting that very much sharpening at all of the raw images actually reduces the sharpness!
I haven't been to Yachets but have done some similar wave crash photos at Pacific City. An exciting image at just the right moment!

Very dynamic image. Nicely timed to capture the crashing wave. Great tonality and contrast make this sing in B&W.

Cool shot Daniel. Looks like your timing was about perfect capturing the big splash. Shutter speed also worked very nice on that. I could see a bit lighter in the shadows of the foreground rocks too. Very nice and I like the black and white.
