Apologies for the pun in the name, but I couldn't resist enlightened

This is a very special image for me. Conditions, composition and company. I had the best of all these three on the evening I shot this. Marc Adamus took us all around the PNW in the pursuit of epic light. To get here on this evening, we drove all the way from Mt Rainier to Bend just so that we could have a shot at catching some nice light at this oft shot location. The water levels were lesser than imagined, and this allowed us to move closer and take newer perspectives of this lake that wouldn't be otherwise possible. We landed on this garden of flowers growing all by themselves on a "rock island". The light went off, and I took several exposures to make sure I didn't miss anything.

In the end, this is actually a single exposure processed multiple times to get the final product.

Appreciate your thoughts on this one!

Sairam

Soothing colors and lighting - a beauty.  Nice job with the processing, amazing what can be pulled from a properly exposed RAW file. Hope to see more images from your PNW excursions.

You did get some very nice light and subtle tones here. The image however is quite nicely balanced. This is a beautiful spot.

This is awesome. Gorgeous colors throughout and wonderful details. Processing looks very good and worth the blending effort.

I like the color palette in this image - especially the way that the color in the flowers matches that in the sky in the way that it transitions from yellow to red.  Nicely done!

This is one of those beauties with the lush wildflowers in the foreground, the colors in the sky, the lake and the peak. Just perfect. I'm curious what your settings were that you could do so much with one exposure. Nice work.

Thanks all! Appreciate it very much.

Kathy, the settings for this image were : f/22,
                                                                ISO 50,
                                                               6 seconds

I wanted to blur out the water as much as possible since it wasn't still. This was taken the when the winds were calm for a brief period to get the flowers sharp :)
